How Do I Whiten My Teeth Fast?

For the fastest possible teeth whitening, we recommend in-office treatment, which can give you dramatic results in just an hour. We offer KöR Power Whitening and Venus White Max. In-Office Whitening

Here’s how in-office treatment with Venus White Max works.

Step 1: Oral Exam

Before we can recommend any whitening treatment, we have to ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy. We do this by performing an oral exam with x-rays. If you’ve had a recent exam at another dentist, we can move forward with treatment, provided that records from your previous visit confirm good oral health. When everything looks good, we’ll set up an appointment for your whitening.

Step 2: Preparation

At your whitening appointment, we’ll first rinse and dry your teeth to prepare them for treatment. Then, we’ll place retractors to hold your lips open. Finally, we’ll apply a gel called a gingival barrier to your gums to protect them.

Step 3: Whitening

Next, it’s time to whiten your teeth! To do this, we’ll apply a potent peroxide gel to your teeth and give it time to seep through the enamel and into the dentin. This will bleach out stains and even whiten the natural pigment of your teeth.

After 10 or 20 minutes, we’ll remove the gel using a suction tool. Then, we’ll repeat the process, applying more gel and giving it the time needed to whiten your teeth. We’ll repeat three to four times, or as many as desired (up to 6) until your ideal results are achieved. After about an hour of treatment, you’ll have a smile that’s several shades lighter! When your treatment is over, we’ll remove all the gel and send you off with your bright, clean smile.

Step 4: Follow-Up

We’ll send you home with some custom trays that fit your teeth precisely, so you can continue the whitening procedure at hom.

Other Whitening Options

Here’s how at-home treatment with Venus White works.

Step 1: Oral Exam

As with our in-office treatment, we’ll begin with an initial exam to make sure you’re in good oral health. If so, we’ll move forward with getting everything you need to begin your at-home treatment.

Step 2: Tray Fitting

During at-home treatment, you’ll wear a clear plastic tray in your mouth to hold the peroxide gel on your teeth for a prescribed period of time. A custom-fitted tray works best for this, so we’ll create one for you in our office. We’ll take digital impressions to fit you for your tray before fabricating it.

Step 3: Protocol

Then we’ll give you the new tray, along with the instructions for completing your at-home treatment. We’ll tell you how to apply the gel and how long to wear your tray. You’ll do this daily for a period of about two weeks.

Step 4: Follow-Up

After two weeks or so, we’ll see you for a follow-up visit to check for sensitivity and assess your results. If you’d like to continue your at-home whitening journey, we’ll supply you with more gel. The process can be repeated as many times as you like until your desired level of brightness is achieved.

Doesn’t Whitening Toothpaste Work?

Whitening toothpaste only removes stains on the surface of the teeth. The stains that cause your teeth to become yellow reside deep in the enamel. That’s why we use peroxide gel in our treatments. It seeps into the enamel, dissolving residual stains, and even deeper into the dentin, bleaching the tooth’s natural pigments for a smile that’s brighter than you’ve ever had.
