Dr. Derek Bawden – Your Mesa Dentist

Dr. Bawden is a proud Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa. As the youngest of eight siblings, he grew up with a strong sense of family and a love for sports. While he enjoyed playing a variety of sports, he discovered a true passion for pole vaulting and cross country in high school. His dedication and hard work led him to compete at the state level, where he proudly represented Mountain View High School.

After high school, Dr. Bawden embarked on an incredible journey, serving an LDS mission in New Zealand. During his time there, he fell in love with the people, culture, and traditions, even learning to perform the Haka. More importantly, it was in New Zealand that he met his future wife, Jasmine. After returning to the U.S., they married and built a wonderful life together. They are now the proud parents of four beautiful children.

Beyond his passion for dentistry, Dr. Bawden thrives in the great outdoors. He enjoys golfing, riding dirt bikes, and camping with his family. Whether hitting the greens, exploring off-road trails, or sitting around a campfire under the stars, he cherishes every moment spent making memories with his wife and kids.

Dr. Bawden earned his dental degree from AT Still University in Arizona, where he cultivated his skills and deepened his commitment to patient care. Since then, he has grown in his passion to transform smiles and ensure every patient feels comfortable and confident in his chair. With a warm and compassionate approach, he strives to create a welcoming environment where patients know they are in good hands.
