What Can I Expect On My First Visit?

We are looking forward to seeing you for your first visit at Mountain View Family Dental. Here’s a look at what to expect on your first appointment.
Before Your Appointment
You can save time at your first visit by completing your new patient paperwork ahead of time. You can access it on our New Patient Forms page. If you prefer to fill it out in our office, please plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
When You Arrive
When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be greeted by our front desk staff and invited to have a seat in our reception area. We will call you back when it is time for your appointment.
Your Exam
From start to finish, your exam should last about an hour and a half. First, we will take x-rays. Then, your hygienist will assess the health of your gums. If your gums are healthy, we will proceed with a thorough, gentle cleaning that should last almost an hour. Afterward, your dentist will give you a comprehensive exam and discuss any treatment recommendations. You’ll also be invited to share any treatment goals that you have.

Our In-Office Technology
At Mountain View Family Dental, we utilize the following technology:
- Scanner for taking optical impressions
- CBCT machine for taking 3D x-rays
- Soft tissue laser
