Our licensed hygienists bring a proactive approach to disease prevention and optimal wellness. They understand that dental health sets the tone for general health, and they love working with patients of all ages. Sunshine, Team Lead
Sunshine, our lead hygienist, brings a lot of “Sunshine” to our office. From the moment you meet her you will feel at ease. Sunshine has a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisville Dental School Kentucky. She also holds a degree in Humanities/Communication and a degree in Business Management. She has lived in Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky, but after surviving harsh east coast winters decided she prefers her home state, Arizona.
Sunshine genuinely loves dentistry. She loves people and making them smile. She works hard at making her patients feel as comfortable as possible. When she has time Sunshine prefers the beach, the water, or traveling. She enjoys spending time with her husband and his 3 children.
Carleen
Carleen holds a degree in Dental Hygiene and thoroughly enjoys interacting with patients and helping them feel better about their smile. Her empathetic nature gives her insight to people’s anxiety, leading to steps that help them through treatment. Traveling with her family means more to her than the destination, and she enjoys reading a good ethnography by any author. Carleen doesn’t really have a favorite food, but she does have a dog named Nacho!
Kristen
Kristen is a native to Arizona and can’t imagine living anywhere else. She and her daughter enjoy traveling together, discovering new restaurants, and sing in a valley wide choir which performs twice a year at the Mesa Arts Center. When not at work, she loves camping, dogs, chocolate, road trips, and watching football.
Kristen attended hygiene school at Rio Salado college where she graduated at the top of her class. Prior to hygiene, she worked as an orthodontic assistant for 17 years so she will always have a special place in her heart for our patients in braces.
Emily
Emily loves helping her patients feel confident in their smile and comfortable at the dental office. Before graduating with a degree in Dental Hygiene, she got a degree in Fine Arts and loves to draw in her spare time. She was born and raised in Arizona, but has lived around the country and loves to travel. When not caring for her patients, she loves reading, spending time with her husband, and listening to music or the latest true crime podcast. If she could only have one food for the rest of her life, it would definitely be sushi!
Marlee
Marlee was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. She received a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene at Utah Tech University. After graduating she spent some time working in Montana but once the cold got to her, she made her way back to her Arizona roots. What she enjoys most about being a hygienist is helping people have a positive experience at the dental office. Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband and dog, trying new recipes, crafting and going to the movies!
Caitlyn
Caitlyn loves giving her patients an environment where they can feel safe and cared for during their dental visits. She was born and raised in Arizona, but loves to travel to new places. Her free time is spent enjoying live music, reading, and relaxing with her dog Leaf. She graduated with her degree in Dental Hygiene here in Arizona.
