Mesa Invisalign
If you’d like to straighten your smile but don’t love the idea of wire braces, clear aligners like Invisalign may be ideal for you. In cases of mild to moderate complexity, clear aligners offer a discreet, effective, and efficient alternative to braces. At Mountain View Family Dental, orthodontist Dr. Brent Brooks chooses ClearCorrect for its advantages over Invisalign. See below for an explanation of those advantages.
Benefits of Clear Aligners
Clear aligners offer the following aesthetic, hygienic, and time-saving benefits over traditional braces.
Invisible
Because they’re clear, orthodontic aligners are virtually invisible from a conversational distance. This way, you can straighten your teeth discreetly and without making braces part of your image.
Fast Results
Aligners work very efficiently to straighten your teeth. Many cases can be completed with aligners in less than half the time they would take with braces. Some treatments with aligners take as little as 6 months!
Convenient
Clear aligners are easily removed and replaced, so you can eat, brush, and floss without them getting in the way. This allows you to maintain good oral hygiene without having to take additional precautions to prevent buildup or staining. Changing out aligners is just as easy, and you may prefer it to having your braces tightened. Also, you’ll likely need fewer follow-up appointments than you would with traditional braces.

How Clear Aligners Work
Orthodontic aligners like Invisalign and ClearCorrect are designed to be worn for the majority of the day and night. Over about two weeks, each aligner gently repositions your teeth. The aligner is then replaced with a new one to shift the teeth into their next position. By the end of your treatment, your teeth will be in their ideal position. The number of aligners you’ll need will depend on the needs of your unique case.
Your first step toward an aligned smile is an oral exam with x-rays. At this visit, Dr. Brooks will assess your bite and smile alignment to determine the recommended treatment. For treatment with clear aligners, he’ll take digital impressions of your teeth, which will be used to develop a full treatment plan. Then, he’ll fabricate the first aligner for you to wear. We’ll send you home with your new aligner and all the information you’ll need to begin your alignment journey. Throughout your treatment, we’ll see you for periodic follow-up visits to monitor your progress and give you the next set of aligners.
ClearCorrect vs. Invisalign
At Mountain View Family Dental, we use the ClearCorrect brand of aligners. They work the same way as other brands, such as Invisalign. There are, however, some key differences between ClearCorrect and Invisalign that lead us to choose ClearCorrect for our patients.
Reliable Results

ClearCorrect aligners feature a straight trimline. A study has shown that aligners with a flat trimline produce more predictable results than those with scalloped trimlines, like Invisalign.
Comfortable
Compared to Invisalign aligners, ClearCorrect aligners are thinner and lighter, which some patients find to be more comfortable.
Lower Fees
ClearCorrect charges lower fees than Invisalign, which means a more affordable treatment for you.
Are Clear Aligners Right For Me?
At your initial visit, Dr. Brooks will determine the complexity of your alignment needs and recommend the most suitable treatment. If your situation is mild or moderate and you can commit to wearing your aligners as prescribed, ClearCorrect may be a good fit for you. In addition to ClearCorrect, Dr. Brooks offers a full range of orthodontic services, including wire braces. To learn more, visit our Orthodontist page.
