Our Dental Implants

A dental implant consists of a titanium fixture embedded into the jaw and attached to a crown via a titanium abutment. Our crowns are made of lithium disilicate and layered in beautiful porcelain. The porcelain overlay gives the crown the appearance of a natural tooth, with all its translucency, color variation, and light reflectivity. And attached to the securely implanted fixture, the restoration feels as natural as it looks.

Our Process

Here’s our process for restoring your missing tooth with a dental implant, from start to finish.

Step 1: Exam

We’ll begin with a comprehensive oral exam. During this initial visit, we’ll also examine your medical history to make sure dental implants are appropriate for you (in most cases, they will be). We’ll also take x-rays and a CBCT scan, which gives us a 3D view of your mouth, jaw, and nasal cavity. From this view, we can determine where to safely place your implant so that it has sufficient bone support and doesn’t interfere with your nerves or sinuses. When your implant placement is decided, it will be time to schedule your surgery.

Step 2: Surgery

At your next visit, we’ll surgically place your implant. For a single implant, this usually will take half an hour to an hour. Complex cases and multiple implants will take longer.

Step 3: Osseointegration

We’ll wait a few months after surgery to allow the fixture to fuse to the surrounding jawbone in a process called osseointegration.

Step 4: Restoration

After osseointegration is complete, it will be time to place your crown. We’ll attach it to the fixture via an abutment. Your missing tooth will be fully restored, and it will look and feel as though it were never lost!
