PARKING

Unfortunately we had an incident occur 2 Saturday's ago in our staff parking area.  Dr. Symens car was broken into during the staff meeting.  This is the first time anything like this has happened in our parking area.  Your safety is very important to us!  Please always be aware of your surroundings when arriving and leaving.  Also, refrain from keeping anything valuable in your vehicle.  In addition to the parking out back you are also welcome to park in front across the parking lot next to the gas station.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Team Meeting - 6/13/17

Thank you to everyone who attended our Team Meeting on Tuesday.  For those of you that didn't make it WE MISSED YOU!  Here is a recap of all the fun we had!

NEW BAM - We have adjusted BAM to 249,000.  Expenses are reviewed periodically to determine where our BAM should actually be.  Examples of why a change in BAM will either up or down would be:  New team members, increase in lab costs, raises, new equipment etc.  If you have any questions at all please talk to your Team Lead.

M&M's meeting (Manager and ME!) - I will be asking one of you to come in for some M&M's with me daily to see how things are going.  Just a nice time to get to know you all better and address any concerns you may have.  BONUS - you get a bag of M&M's too!

AETNA DMO - We are going to discontinue accepting the Aetna DMO effective 1/1/18.  Please encourage our existing patients to speak to their HR department and sign up for a PPO plan. Express to them how much we appreciate their loyalty and want to continue to provide them with excellent dental care!

We went over new grab bag goals - please speak to your Team Lead about these.

HAND OFF TRAINING - We practiced roll playing the hand off.  The key word is "CONCERNED".  If you missed the Team Meeting please set up a time to roll play with your Lead.

Example of hand off:

Dr. Say's to pt:

"Tina, I'm concerned about your tooth on the LL.  There is deep decay and if we do not treat it very soon you may need a root canal."

Dr. Say's to Asst/hyg:

"Rayleen, I'm concerned about Tina's tooth on the LL, could you check with the front desk and see if that time tomorrow is still available?"

Asst/Hug takes patient up to the front desk and say's:

"Irene, Dr. is concerned about Tina's tooth on the LL that needs a crown.  Will you see if tomorrow is still available?"

Front desk say's to pt:

"Absolutly!  Tina, I know Dr. is concerned about your tooth on the LL.  Let's be sure to reserve some time tomorrow to get you taken care of!"

NOTE:  Dr. will not create urgency for treatment that is not urgent.  Dr. may recommend that patient to have their treatment done "sometime before their next hyg visit".

Please respond  to me that you have reviewed this by 6/23/17.  Thanks everyone...we appreciate all of you!
