The Porcelain Veneer Process

Dr. Guffey will first have a consult appointment with you to answer any questions you may have regarding the different options that are available today for veneers. He then begins to design your procedure based on your facial characteristics and the look you want to project.

He will then gather some diagnostic information, photographs and models of your current smile to aid him in making sure your veneers fit in perfectly with the rest of your teeth.

On the next appointment, Dr. Guffey will make the necessary changes to your existing teeth to allow for the final porcelain to fit perfectly. An impression is taken so that the ceramist can create your custom porcelain veneers, and Mountain View Family Dentistry will fabricate your temporary veneers. These temporary veneers will give you a preview of your new smile.

Once your permanent veneers are completed by the ceramist, Dr. Guffey will be ready to try them in.

Before the veneers are bonded into place, he will verify that they look gorgeous, fit perfectly, and most important, you love them. Once everything is ideal, he bonds the porcelain veneers into place and your new smile is complete and ready to be displayed to the world.
